HYLO wins ‘Best Mixed-Use Building’ and ‘Winner of Winners’ at the Tall Building Awards
HYLO wins again! In addition to winning ‘Best Mixed-Use Building’, HYLO has also taken home the top prize ‘Winner of Winners’ at this year’s Tall Building Awards.
Accepting its second and third award of the year – with no intentions of slowing down – HYLO continues to prove itself as an exemplar mixed-use development and one of the best-in-class commercial buildings in London. Situated in Old Street and achieving practical completion in November 2022, HYLO has delivered 25,800 sqm of office/retail space, and 25 social homes, across 29 floors.
Up against One Crown Place (Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates) and One Bishopgate Plaza (PLP Architecture & WSP), HYLO has been recognised for its innovative design and sustainable approach in re-configuring and extending a 1960s tower and podium building to create high quality office space with retail at ground level, on a site surrounded by conservation areas.
Steve Riddell, Managing Director – Developments at CIT commented, “We’re delighted for the building to have received this recognition following years of design and delivery. We are proud of the work completed on HYLO and are looking forward to welcoming the first wave of occupiers in the coming months.”
